#TheBeautyMadeBetter tag is a movement for cosmetics safety reform. Current laws leave the Federal Government powerless to screen personal care products for chemicals that have been linked to cancer, harm to the reproductive system in both men and women. The chemicals being used have side effects as severe allergies and other health effects.
The Personal Care Products Safety Act, a Bill that was introduced in 2015 by Senator Diane Feinstein. This Bill will set new health and safety standards for cosmetics and other personal care products and would allow the FDA to regularly review the safety of various ingredients in these products according to the EWG.
It is admirable that Kourtney Kardashian would lend her celebrity to a such a worthy cause for the spot light to be shined on. We are hoping all women pay more attention to the ingredients they use in their cosmetics and hair products.
